Smithville Tournament Series
With lack of participation from last year and his daughters wedding this summer Joe is is gonna take a back seat this year. He's heard from a few people asking if they will be happening or not so I figured we'll just post a thread and see who all is interested in doing a few this year. I'm not as fancy as Joe so we would either drop food out of the deal or do a little pot luck thing where everyone fishing brings part of the food for lunch. We don't have dates or permits so were pretty flexible here! Who all is interested in doing a few this year? Its a little far into May so lets see the interest for a June tournament? I'll take care of the permit if we get enough people together and once a date is set we can work on food or not.
Post June dates you would fish and lets see what we got!

I will - if I can but it’s always a last minute decision. Justin you will learn very quick you can’t please everyone with a date. My opinion is pick one that works for you and whoever wants to and can will show. June watch out for Father’s Day, maybe?

Yeah I think your right with Fathers day the 21st we prob should skip that weekend. I can't edited my fist post so lets see how much interest we have for June 6th!

Justin, thanks for pursuing this. I know some people are very interested.
For whatever it's worth, I (as a rule) just chose the 2nd Saturday of every month. That seemed to miss things like Crappie Camp/KCCC tournament, Graduation Weekends, Memorial Day weekend, Father's Day, Independence Day, back to school, and Labor Day. For the most part, anyway. You're always gonna have people out for graduation parties and weddings which can happen any time, but you miss the majority with those.
I can help with the permits, too. Point you in the right direction. It doesn't take that long and you get the stuff back pretty quickly. Also, on their web site you'll be able to see if there are any other tournaments going out at Smithville (and out of what ramps) and how big they might be. Call me sometime and we can discuss.
