According to the latest crime data Map Quest Travel ranked the countries most dangerous cities with Missouri representing Kansas City #17, Springfield #4, and The Gateway to the West #1.....Neighborhood Scout listed Kansas City #17, Springfield #12, and Saint Louis #2....and CBS News went off 2019 FBI crime statistics and had Springfield #5, and Saint Louis #2, Kansas City was not in their top 50. Of course "There is nothing to fear but fear itself," but hey be careful out there! I'd say you're probably a lot less likely to be a victim of violent crime while fishing....UNLESS YOU ARE CREEPING TO CLOSE TO MY HONEY HOLE

Well what little news I watch anymore seems like some of our little known towns are having their problems also.

in the STL it is a tiny concentration of blocks in the city itself that generate the numbers and feel for the folks who live in that area as I used to run jobs program for folks who live there in another lifetime. As it is in most large or medium cities. with the foolish lockdowns which do not work it makes things harder for those living on the edge anyway so behooves all of us to look out for each other. Including when your camping and at ramps.
