    Default spun hub , mechanic recommendations


    spun hub on my mercury black max this weekend and was looking for a shop or mechanic recommendations within 100 miles of the Springfield Mo area .

    If it really is a hub, you don't need a mechanic. If you don't have a good prop shop nearby to drop it off in person, there are lots of prop shops that do business by mail. I used to use a great one down in Bradenton, Fl (haven't needed one in a while). It is General Propeller.

    Jeff has a spare prop for a merc. You may check with him if it is the right size.

    The hub is very easy to change very easy. But there is a prop shop at Fairgrove the prop doctor. He put one in mine and I will do the rest myself you just push old one out . clean out debriss and push new one in by hand.

    That is for the Mercury Flo-Torque hubs. That doesn't hold true for other types. Other hubs are pressed in on a hydraulic press.

    Call Fin and feather in Springfield, they have a guy that picks up and delivers back to store don’t know what their hours are now? Believe shop is near table rock lake, fin and feather 2861 S Campbell 417-887-4680 add says open but Springfield makes you wear masks

    I think k my dad still has the prop. Doesn't fit any of out boats. Happy to check size for ya.
