Default Don't try to tell a Missouri Hillbilly the Keurig is shot...

Ok I admit it had been 7 months since descaling and changing the filter. She was perking just fine but seemed like a good day to do a PM.Dumped in the descaling solution after removing filter. She belched out first 10 ounces.Second 10 ounced she was lime-constipated bigtime.Quit flowing at all. This is the part where most non-hillbillys toss her in the trash,go to town,n plop down 80-90$ for a new one.
    Where's the fun in that.
Remove every visible screw , removed some plastic ,and repeat first step.Eventually scratch head to realize the tools of choice are prybar, couple big screwdrivers, and a hammer.Mr.Keurig figured 4 once assembled plastic locks was plenty to stop a Hillbilly. Not even close ...had to resort to muscles, gruntin, strainin, hammering, cussin, and prying but eventually the 4 locks gave up...next step had to move operation outside to get really manly with it .Had to do some replumbing to get the citric acid from the reservoir to the heater.Eventually decided while I was holding the reservoir the wife needed to operate the pod handle and the 10 ounce button...Was high time to step up the attack so requested the wife to retrieve the CLR.Between the citric acid and CLR the lime eventually was tenderized and puked out the extended discharge hose to a 5 gallon bucket (every hillbilly has plenty of 5 gallon buckets).
Bye and bye the reassembly began.Several sizes of screws and some actually went to their original home .Many did not. Anyway got her back together and flushed out about 50 times. She's back to perkin but the pastic has a few beauty marks. That's alright with this Hillbilly.
A recommendation is to descale and change your filter fairly often so you can spend your time crappie fishing instead of fighting your danged coffeepot...

At least you got er back to purring! Mine didn’t quite make it that far ! So I had to go throw down the 80-90 bucks ! I changed filter on the new one first couple years but have let that slip the last year or so that’s prolly why she is getting slow and grunting ! Lol

Ya might want to invest in a water softener. I'd say you have more serious lime deposit problems than your coffee maker. Just an Ozark hillbilly sayin'.

Run some white vinegar through a couple times once a week. Keeps it flowing. After running it through the coffee maker, then put the used vinegar in a cup into the microwave for a few minutes. The vinegar vapors dissolves any accumulated stuff on the inside, allowing you to wipe the microwave clean with a paper towel.

Ya'll know I prolly shoulda made one of those "Youtube videos -how to fix ur Keurig".
considerin there's lotsa hillbillies on youtube...
Slabprowler is a young guy who needs to pay better attention to life's lessons.Choked-up /killed first Keurig, current one is short-lived.Might start saving greenbacks for #3 and consider those life lessons or just keep on buying the coffeepots as it's good for the "economic stimulus ".Most likely not a hillbilly.
Buckeye Crappie-Descent feller but jury is out on whether on not he's a Hillbilly.
Pecularmike does pay attention to life's lessons.Yep,he's a Hillbilly.
Keeferfish,Not too sure what you are drinkin (or smokin).Highly suspect this one's a city slicker...
Slowhand-Shows Hillbilly tendencies, is utilitarian. Yep,have also used vinegar for years but nowhere near as thoroughly as you do.Tip of the hat Sir.
Clownfish- ABSOLUTELY a fellow Hillbilly who likes his coffee just like I do.
Joedog - A Red Green post any hillbilly respects.Yep, he' another hillbilly...

No offense to anyone - all in hillbilly jest fellas...
