Default Fairfield ramp and surrounding waters?

I've been pursuing an opportunity near the Fairfield boat ramp on K hwy at Truman.
The water looks amazing but I've never been near the Pomme arm.
Does anyone have any experience with the area? Water depth, quality, fishing, playing, or at the local haunts?
Any stories you want to share would be appreciated.

This time of year I'd be looking at timber along the river channel bluffs, further north toward Osage Bluff. I've only been a few times, it's overwhelming.

Work around the island with a jig & grub. You might get a wally surprise.
I'll smoke just about anything (in my smoker)
The fishing is always great. The catching varies.

The island is right out in front of the ramp. To the right of the island we used to sky and stuff towards the bridge years ago. Plenty of good fishing too.

There is also KK island to the north. The flats to the south of it are supposed to be one of the best walleye spots on Truman.
