    Default Outside of outboard cleaning

What is the best product use to clean the lower half of motor? Top comes clean with hot soapy water but can’t get the film or whatever you call it off of the bottom part. We live on a gravel road so dust is a constant problem for everything. This is just the buildup from water.

I have found spraying down with Awesom from Dollar general does a pretty good job on that scum on hull and motor. I wet it down with hose, then spray with awesom and let sit just a bit then go back with soft brush and mixture of water and awesome then rinse good.

This. Get some cheap cleaning vinegar and mix 50/50 with water in a spread bottle. Can mix 75/25 for tough to clean spots. I wash my motor, then hit it and the boat with the mixture and wipe off after a couple minutes.
