It cold starts just fine as long as it’s not trimmed up. This problem I’m having may only occur once a year or less. It’s funny though how it knows I’m downstream in heavy current. Bang head. Going to install new plugs and replace the fuel line tomorrow.

There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

Was looking good for about 3 trips then got stranded again Thursday. Still don’t know what’s wrong.

Have seen it with a Johnson once. Sometimes it would crank right up, sometimes wouldn't start for nothing, wait a couple hours, would eventually start. That one needed a power pack.

Probably not a coil. All of them wouldn't fail at once. Most likely the stator or power pack, although I'm not all that familiar with the newer motors.

You'll have to find someone with a DVA and have the ignition system tested.

Just replaced all coils two years ago. Hole shot is still good. In the past a bad coil pack kills your hole shot.
