    Default Panoptix Perspective Mode

Anyone checked this out? Pretty neat. Mostly a shallow water tool. It was released in Feb., '20
Requires a transducer mount not available yet that turns the transducer on its side or upright. 5-8 weeks they say. $100

The fishing is always great. The catching varies.

I seen that and the monitor knows that its on its side and I think still gives the correct depth.

Better do a bunch of reading on electronics page. Need a update installed to run in perspective mode. For most that have installed update have had issues after installing it. Some haven’t but most have. Plus there are a couple of aftermarket mounts out there already that look as good or better than the factory mount. From what I have seen on the few that have it dialed in it’s going to be really good in shallow water. Especially those that have docks to fish around and under. But it does have some coverage drawbacks. Still I think it will be worthwhile once Garmin gets soft ware straightened out.

You have to update to software version 11.20 for an echoMAP Plus. Takes about an hour to download (if you live out in the sticks and have a coal fired computer).
Download to a standard micro SD card, max. 32GB. It has to be formatted to FAT32.
    I'm gonna try it.
If you see a gray Triton 18TX with an old balding fat guy laying on the front with one arm in the water and trying to operate a trolling motor with the other arm while watching a locator that'll probably be me. I don't have the transducer mount yet.

Like I have always said - I have never owned a boat or rod that caught a fish. Same for electronics. Fun though.

Mine is being delivered soon including the perspective mount. Does anyone know if since it's all new will it come with the newest, latest and greatest version already loaded?

Don't know about latest and greatest version, but have heard rumors about a jig retrieval mode. Should make it easier locating Joe's jigs in the tree's, but it only shoots straight up about 50', so at least you can get the low ones.
