    Default Bank Camping

So a few of us have talked about camping on the shores. Specifically on Truman.
Does anyone know the rules for this?
How bout good flatish places that aren't too likely to be underwater?
I did some scouting last week. I like the islands of little Tebo Creek across from the state park, the backside has a nice lil bay to protect the boat(s). When it gets warmer it would make a good basecamp for morning fishing and afternoon tubing. Few more FOW and the islands will disappear again though.

I think it's illegal on Truman but people do it anyway, think as long as people clean up their mess they won't say much. We use to do it a lot back in the day and was checked a few times and all they told us was to pick up all of our trash and don't leave a fire burning.

I've got reservations there May 1st, but for general fun in the sun and something different from the norm camping wherever looks good sounds kinda fun.
Plus my income was cut by 50% yesterday so dragging out the RV & paying that much per night wont be so easy.

They also told us as long as you have a line in the water you're not camping, you are fishing.

So I did a little research today and most all of the upper grand is surrounded by what is classified as COE public land. If you research that it states tent camping over night for 1 day is allowed. So move camp everday?
I tried calling thier office but no answers as expected with our current situation.
Will continue to call till I get definite answers. But till then I'm planning on going for it first of May assuming water levels aren't like last year.

There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

Go to the COE website and you can look at the maps of all COE lakes
