Default A little rod repair job

The foam handles on my rigging rods were starting to show some wear and tear. Tried a little fix with some shrink wrap from Mud Hole. Saves calling out 1-2-3-4 . Now just call the color.

There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

That’s kind of funny. Two trips ago all the bites were on my side of the boat. At one time it was about 80%. Finally evened out a bit. Then last time all the fish were left handed and Richard was up something like 12-2. Really no explanation. I try really hard to not let the boat ride such that the rods are like a train. Sometimes the wind dictates otherwise.
Still wonder why one or two rods will get all the bites even with identical setups. Maybe a good question if someone else wants to chip in. I’ve only been rigging for 3-4 years so I’m sure there is more to learn.
