I've been keeping up with this as best I can because my better half would fall into the High Risk group because of asthma! They are saying now, that it is starting to slow down in China where it began! They discovered it in Nov! That's 3+ months! Now during Spring Break young people are gathering all over to party and have a good time, they don't have a clue as to weather they are sick or not. They think they are invincible, we all know how that is, biggest problem with that is it take 5-7 days for symptoms to appear and by then they could have spread it over MILES because you will spread it before you know you are sick. I'm doing my best to stay away from people just because I'm not ready to get rid of my wife. Stay safe!

Welp. Crappie camp or not I'm off that week so I will sleep on the boat if I have to. I'm fishing

There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

This is a new virus and nothing really known about it so I am glad they are taking these steps now. Hope it is over soon. Everyone has fish catching to do.

Just heard they told everyone at Long Shoal campground to leave, they are closing it. . Can't believe this.
The free camping didn't last long! I'm sure Bucksaw will close too.

I don’t understand the camping thing closing some houses are closer together than tents and campers.

    Default Coronavirus

I’m still on vacation so will be fishing. Probably commute from home. I guess the sensible thing would be to cancel and reschedule for fall. I hate to give in to the pandemic but this thing is for real. I have been a pharmacist for 40 years and never worried about a thing, but this thing scares the crap out of me. With our current healthcare system it will be nothing like the swine flu post ww1 (50,000,000 dead) but it is still serious. Since it is a mutation on a virus that attacks other animals that is now being passed human to human, we have no resistance. That makes it bad for those that are immune compromised.
Don’t loose a lot of sleep, we will get this figured out. Already testing antivirals that seem to work. We don’t have the best healthcare system in world without a reason. I know it’s expensive but there is no other that compares.
I go back to work this week will continue to do what I do there.
Wash your hands! Soap is better than hand sanitizer. Be smart. Don’t go in public if you don’t have to. That being said, I will be back on the water next week.
