    Default Hello friends

I haven’t posted in a long time but I figured I would check in. My wife left me after 13 years of marriage. We had 2 boys together and needless to say I was devastated. It has been a 16 month long journey of hopelessness, hate, fear and worse. It’s over now, the lovely judge was nice enough to sign on Valentine’s Day... I haven’t been able to do much of anything but work to limit the pain.

On a a brighter note I went and looked to see if my boat was still in storage today and I’m finally ready to get back after it.

I will take your prayers and also just wanted to say value your partner. Watching a woman turn cold was the worst thing ever.

I will be back with an awesome fishing report soon! Thanks guys and gals!

Support those boys and be their hero.
Don't know how old they are but take them fishing and camping if ya can and build as many memories as possible.
Maybe you can make it to spring camp and bring them.

There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

These things happen. As we grow and age a lot of things change. Sometimes all of the change is not of the good kind. Please don't let it ruin your life. Take care of your kids and always be there for them.
    Best wishes.

Been there done that a few times and yes it is a horrible experience when your wife grows cold to you and no longer appreciates the guy she USED to love so much. But as one who is on marriage number 4, eternal optimist, can assure you that your life hasn't ended, it actually is just beginning. Always be there for your kids and know this, there are more great ladies out there who WILL appreciate who you are than you can even imagine right now. I know you are in a dark place but there is not only a light ahead but a great life could be had just do NOT give up hope. BTW see my ex's quite a bit and we get along fantastically and they love my new wife, yes I live a strange but great life. Now after being with other guys? they truly appreciate me, again. Besides this one loves to go fishing with me and appreciates every little thing I do even cutting the grass or taking out the trash and we travel tons and live a blessed life.

I am sorry to hear your of your loss and truly hope your relationship with your sons stays strong.Sometimes people grow together and sometimes apart. There is another special someone out there for you.
Fishing is good therapy along with many other activities.Keep your chin up and realize tomorrow's sunrise is a new day.
    You are in my prayers

Hey man, I’ve been there as well. Like others said, it gets better. WAY better. I know it may be hard to see now but there is a bright future ahead. Love those boys and stay involved in their lives. Fishing is a great way to do it.
