We are lucky there are some police departments that don't blame the victims.

Glad they caught him. Just to be a pain in his rear, you should file a civil suit against him for the items he stole. I realize you will never collect anything from him but you could attach any paycheck or tax refund he gets in the future.

There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

Slow down big guy and watch your blood pressure. Damn thieves, usually when they steal batteries they just cut you battery cables and leave you with more of a mess. Looks like you need a fence and a couple of doberman dogs. Glad you caught up with him. You should have called your buddy Beagleman for back up, wouldn't need any jail time after that.

Sad thing is he'll be out of jail doing the same thing to someone else in a couple of weeks, if not sooner. Those guys know there's no serious consequences so they never stop. It's sad what our judicial system has become. We need to hang a few on the court house steps and maybe they will think twice about doing it but most of them are so messed up with drugs they would steal no matter what the punishment is.

I'm sure he had a meth habit to support....this is why drug usage is NOT a victim-less crime. Liberal judges and law makers are killing us. Now in Missouri you need to have three prior stealing related offenses within ten years before a new stealing charge becomes a felony unless the dollar amount is $750 or over. It was two priors and the felony threshold was $500.

That is why they tried prohibition, women were tired of being beaten up by drunken dead beat husbands. I suspect that the real solution is just letting the drug addicts die. Make drugs free and we would soon be rid of the genes and a large number of the thiefs. That doesn't mean that we can't offer help or have compassion but it has to be at least somewhat reciprocal. As you can tell I really don't know what can be done about it but the government doesn't appear to be the answer.
