Good morning ladies and gents! I am looking for information regarding a move
to the Springfield, MO area. Don't want to live in the city proper, but maybe
15-20 miles outside. Anybody care to make a recommendation???? I need to
have medical access for my wife and I, and am looking for a smaller community
outside of the city. The info I am looking for includes water (well or city), low crime
rates, reasonable taxes, and maybe a realtor that someone has confidence in.
If you don't wish to post, please PM me or you can e-mail me at [email protected].
Thank you very much for taking the time to read and maybe respond! Dave

Look up Hoover Realtors in Boliver. That's my Aunt tell her her nephew Greg sent ya. She will take care of ya. If it's for sale she will know about it. Boliver is just north about 20 miles or so. Her first name is Sandy

There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.DaveB40 thanked you for this post
Dave the wife and I just made the move to Nixa Mo 3 months ago which is 6 miles south of Springfield and so far we are loving it , got a nice house at a good price , our water , trash , electric and sewer are taken care of through the city of Nixa utilities ( 1 bill instead of 4 ) , we have a community center that has many programs geared toward seniors , mercy and cox are the medical providers in the area and when it comes to fishing there are no less than 5 lakes that are less than 2 hours away , if you go north of Springfield they are closer yet . sending you a pm on the realtor we used , good luck on your search
Good luck Dave. You know I always thought you'd look good on a Missouri lake

Sorry I'm late in responding, but a great "BIG" Thank You to all for the
information. At least I've got a goof amount of info to work with and get
started on getting the he** out of Illinois. Madigan and Cullerton just got
themselves a new puppet to sit in the governors chair and I don't want to be
around when the state files for bankruptcy. Thanks again to all who took the
times to read and respond to my query! Tight Lines - Dave

Just saw your post, and I'll throw in my $.02. We moved to Clinton three years ago, and I'm a happy promoter of the town. It is NOT 20 miles from Springfield, but it has low crime, really low taxes (compared to where I've lived before) and good health care at the local hospital. It is a fairly active community, and Truman Lake is 10 minutes outside of town. On the lus side, it is an hour from Kansas City and an hour and change from Springfield.
