since I am in somewhat better health I got me a canoe, well what about a seat for same, any of y'all canoers got any suggestions, still got a bad back but working on getting it better, I tell you what this getting well take a toll on the body... let me know please

Next time your in Springfield head south to Ozark. They have a kayak/canoe/paddle board shop down there that may have something to fix you up. Here is a link to their site. You may give them a call to see what they have before making the drive. But it would put you real close to Lambert's restaurant if you went around lunch time.

Have tried many, the one that Bass Pro sells is a good seat, more sturdy than most, but leans too far back for good support for me, I used some stainless bolts and rubber washers to bypass the "ratchet" adjustment and they work well. What canoe did you get? What type seating does it have, poly, web, cane? I have a few other suggestions depending.....
