    It does in SC, so get a copy of boating regulations for your state and see what it says. Any sort of mechanical propulsion requires registration in our state unless you are on a private lake.
    Used to be anything under 10HP in SC didn't require registration, then the "Guvmint" decided to require it and inadvertently included electric motors.
    However, they never saw fit to change it.

    From Missouri DOR website: boats required to be licensed:
    All motorized boats or vessels and any sailboats longer than 12 feet must be titled and registered.

    Boats and vessels are NOT required to be titled or registered in the state of Missouri if they are:
    Owned by out-of-state residents and housed, stored, or operated in the state of Missouri for less than 60 consecutive days;
    Owned by the United States Government;
    From a country other than the United States using the waters of this state for less than 60 consecutive days;
    Propelled solely by paddle or oars (regardless of length);
    Sailboats or sailboards 12 feet or less in length; or
    A ship's lifeboat used solely for lifesaving purposes.
    Vessels documented by the United States Coast Guard are not required to be titled, but must be registered.

    And you no longer must register/title your trolling motor.
    I'll smoke just about anything (in my smoker)
    The fishing is always great. The catching varies.

    Where do you fish with your 2 man boat? I have one also and love mine.
