    Default Catfish With Measles

I caught this 5# catfish while crappie fishing today. I think he may have been to Disneyland and contracted the measles. I don't remember ever seeing bumps like these before, especially when the fish was completely covered with them. Maybe some of you whisker fisherman can enlighten me.

Some kind of parasite I'd guess. You should put this over into the biologist forum and get one of those guys to give you a better answer.

I've seen that several times, even caught one on Monday that had bumps all over. sometimes I catch blues with them but it seems like more often it's a channel cat. no idea what causes it. catfish acne? herpesghanosyphillaids?

Take it easy on Ole Jack. He aint had nothing fall off since last year.
There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.
