Hi all; Now I know this is for crappie but, Iam going to assume that every now and then we all fish for different fish. If so what do you or anyone you know of that uses casting nets, what size and what type mono or nylon?
I have bought a couple of betts cast nest in the last month. One old salt 3/8 inch 8 ft radius for catching shad and one 1/4 inch 6 ft radius for minnows and goldfish in the pond. They are both a mono type net and work well once you figure out how to throw them. Look for one that has lead on the bottom they will sink faster than the plastic coated lead or steel the cheaper ones use.
