    Default it aint crappies but....part 2


    well, I got out of work early yesterday afternoon, so I slipped out on the missouri river for awhile. went out lookin for shad in a creek, and netted a nice crappie, right on the bank. she was still prespawn and fat as a tick!
    went and hit a sand bar and found the channels. right off the bat, had 2 poles down at once and came up with these 2 channels. the bigger one was around 12lbs and the big fish of the night.

    these guys were so shallow that they broke the surface at the hookset!!
    then got another channel and a few minutes later a nice little blue.

    also caught 2 more 5lb channels at dark but i didnt take any pics because it was raining a little. been tough out ther the past few weeks so I had a pretty fun evening for a change!

    I wouldn't turn them down for sure! My grease don't care what is put into it as long as it isn't trout!

    Looks like some good eating fish there. Not bad for sneaking out after work. Are you slow at work or did you just knock out the jobs you had.

    naw, we're not slow by any mean. I just had a couple of cars ready for paint and the painter has had some set-backs this week. nothin like waiting on paint to dry!
    tuesday was one of those days where I said to heck with cleaning fish. just didn't feel like it. all those nice fish sammiches are still swimming around somewhere.
    I guess I will just have to try to re-catch them all this weekend. Lol!

    Nice job. The Missouri is suppose to get big. Just checked the level and it says that it is suppose to raise 10-11 ft. by saturday.

    actually the river is already past 14ft, according to the advanced hydrolic services website. now its predicted to reach 19ft by sunday. time to bowfish some nasty ol bigheads and silvers.
