Angry No Help to Be Found

Mrs JJ and I went to the Osage Bluff area of Truman today....we had a great day:D Mrs JJ drove the boat (a normal situation if the water isn't too tough for her) and she dropped me off at the launch to back in the truck so she could load the boat

When I put my key in the ignition....there was nothing....I immediately looked to see if the lights had been left on....nope....I got out to check the battery connections and discovered a loose ground wire.

The whole point of this post is this....there were several guys milling around in the parking lot and not one of them took a second to ask if I needed a jump or if they could help. I ended up going to the boat, pulling one of the trolling motor batteries and jumper cables I keep in the boat and jumped it myself.

Those butheads must have been b*******s....cause I'd like to think that crappie fishermen would help a fellow crappie dude - seeing how I have the Missouri decals on the back window of my truck.

I Carry One Of Those Booster Starters In My Boat All The Time. Mainly Due To The Fact That I Sometimes Have More Stuff On Than I Should. You Know High Tech Redneck Got To Have All The Lights And Other Stuff On When He Is In The Boat. I Have Been Out On The Lake And Needed A Jump And Never Could Find Anyone On The Water!

People are so self absorbed now days. If it had been one of them needing assistance, I'll guarentee you that they would have expected you to drop whatever you were doing to give them a hand. Knowing most members on this site, they would have also.

Ihelped an older guy at Bucksaw for 45 minutes yesterday in the rain. He leaves his boat a ZX250 Skeekter there in the slips all year. He was taking it out to have it cleaned and could not get it loaded. So my partner one in his Expidition and one in the water finally got him loaded. Something most people will not do anymore. I must say around Bucksaw I see a llot of people helping others out.

We've towed in a lot of folks on the water and some never even say thanks! But we still help the next guy because I'd hope that someone would help us if and when we need it!

The most interesting one we helped was attempting to ROW/paddle the boat upstream using a 32 oz. Casey's plastic cup. Pretty obvious they needed help and we saw boat after boat pass them by. We were fishing below Bucksaw on the flats and could see they weren't moving fast enough for the activity we could see so we left our fishing spot and motored over to see if they needed a tow and they did. When we got up close we could see the Casey's cup and knew it wasn't good. We swung them right in next to the ramp they used and went back to fishing.
