Wappapello?

Anybody fish Wappapello? I moved about about an hour and a half away recently but have never fished it. I’ve always heard there aren’t many good sized fish in it. Worth the time? Pound and a half fish or more in there?

buddy of mine goes down there fishing bass tournies and has caught some big crappie on bass cranks. then fished for crappie after tournament and did well.

Wapp is getting better size wise but you will still catch a bunch of shorts. Just fyi, you can keep 30 a day but only 15 can be 9” or larger
1.5-2 pound crappie aren’t unusual though

That’s a lot better than I had thought. I need to give it a try. Hard to make that run when Reelfoot is about the same distance for me but been kicking myself I hadn’t yet

I have caught some 1 3/4 pounders on there but they are few and far between and usually during spawn
Lots of shorts to get a good catch
