Hey guys, I've been here a while, but still new to crappie fishing. I'm forty and just started crappie fishing last spring. I live in the Bloomfield area. I fish Wapp. mostly, but also fish some smaller waters around.

Brandon-33, live in Bloomfield, way down in the southeast corner;I'm a Field Service Officer for the Boll Weevil Eradication Program for MO cotton producers for 7 years, fish tournaments with my cousin Brian also from Bloomfield. We have qualified for 10 or 12 national championships, never even got a sniff at any of them. Have won and placed high in some of the qualifiers and local tournaments, still got ALOT to learn! No kids, come to think of it, no wife now either, very civil divorce after 10 years this month actually. Fish out of a Ranger 522 or a Stratos 22 Extreme or the best boat we got- a 15' jon! Fish Wap, Reelfoot, anything in Mississippi, just about anywhere we can get one of the aforementioned rigs backed in!

My name is Mike Baker. My initials are "M.R." When I signed up and they asked for a screen name I just used my initials. It turned out looking like I wanted everyone to refer to me as "Mr." Not the case at all.

I am a good ol Bootheel boy having grown up in Kennett. First learned to crappie fish with my dad on Wappapella.

I have lived in Columbia since starting law school here in 1977. Have been a lawyer for 28 years. Do mainly civil defense and personal injury work. Married with one 12 year old daughter.

Started tournament bass fishing several years ago. Fished the B.A.S.S. circuit for a few years but after my daughter was born restricted my bass tournaments to LOZ, Truman, Tablerock and other local lakes. Got to where I turned fishing into work instead of pleasure so I quit fishing completely for about 3 years.

About 2 or 3 years ago I started thinking about my youth and crappie fishing. I remembered how pleasurable it was. Started studying and trying to learn. That is how I found this site.

Started going to the crappie camps and have meet some great people. Have learned a ton about crappie fishing from the people on this site. What I like most about crappie fishing is that most people you meet are willing to tell you everything about how they catch them and even take youwith them if you want to go. That is so different from the bass fishing community.

I am still very much a novice at this crappie fishing but I am trying to spend as much time on the water as possible and learn as much, and as many techniques, as possible.

I have a condo on LOZ. I run a 20.5 ft. red and black Charger with 225 Merc. I also fish out of an 18 ft. Lowe jonboat.

Yell at me if you see me. I am sure there is something I can learn from you.

Hiya newbies. My name is Bob and I'm (cough cough) 50 years young.
Between hers and mine we have 6 adult children and 5 beautiful grandchildren. The aub in my name stands for AUBURN. I've been a TIGER fan since I was old enough to know what a football was. I love to crappie fish in the Spring and have recently become acquainted with Wintertime crappie fishing. Thanks, Ed and Jeff. I also enjoy a trip to the dark side of fishing, bass fishing. I fish out of a Pro Team 185 w/90hp Merc. Fish Truman mostly but plan on fishing a lot of new water this year.

I'm David aka Nitro and my wife is Beth. We've been married for 30 years. You may ask, to the same women, no shes changed a lot in 30 years. We have 2 grown children, a daughter married and a son that will get married this summer.
I worked and owned a furniture store for 20 years, then my dad and I partnered in the cattle business backgrounding cattle then shipping them to Texas and Kansas to the feed lots. The past few years have been in home construction.
My wife is a RN and has worked at St. Johns Hospital for 30 years in SICU. She doesn't fish much but will go with me when it warms up.
Fished all my life, thanks to an uncle that loved to fish and would take me all the time and now my good friend and fishing buddy FROSTY fish together. If you see 2 guys in a white 04 Nitro with a 115 mercury stop and say Hi. Just don't ask if we've sold our homes, no use ruining a good fishing day.
Fishing is always good. Catching is sometimes bad

I'm Jim Cunningham - I'm 55. My wife of 34 years is Mary. Two daughters, 28 and 26. Grew up in north county of St. Louis and moved to the Columbia area to go to law school. (1974) Started stomping around strip pits and fishing all the ponds I could find for bass. Have been a lawyer for 30 years and am currently General Counsel of Columbia Insurance Group - for another 36 days. I used to fish catfish tournaments on the Missouri river with good success. I fish for brown trout in Arkansas in the coldest part of the winter, but my love is crappie fishing. Have been fishing Bucksaw area of Truman for about 25 years and have also spent alot of time on Mark Twain and a little on LOZ. I fish out of an old grey Fisher Marine SV18GT with a 115 Yamahammer. For trout fishing I use a 20' fiberglass jon boat with a 25 yamahammer - set up for fishing real shallow water. I love meeting all the people (sane and otherwise) on this board and am looking forward to fishing regularly with several of them. I learn something just about every time I go out, especially when fishing with someone new. My wife will also retire, but not until her teaching job stops in late May. Still trying to figure out how to get mama out on the water more often, but we'll each have more time soon.
Jim - Have boat - will travel.

Hi! I'm Mark, 60yr old early retired bureaucrat (your tax dollars at work--or not) Retired from Employment Security (counselor) after 33yrs. No, I'm not short. My boat is. It's a Mean 16, Champion's smallest boat (it' only 15 1/2') John Storie founded Champion. I used to be LoweLife but that boat died. Gotta quit using boat names.

Fish Smithville 95% of the time. No threat to the fish but, with the help of the guys on the board, I might get to be a minor nusance to the crappie.
