    Default Honeyhole produced again.

It's nice when u find a place to fish that produces most of the time but few seem to actually go there and fish for what u do. Will see another fisherman occasionally but they are fishing for catfish off bank. Fortunate to have a few places like that which are public but few bother to go there. Most are 5 to 30 acres but are really productive.

Anyway met buddy at breakfast place early as he says bite goes away by 9. Hit the water as day was dawning, launched his small boat and it was still and just perfect. First drop w jig caught Solid black crappie, then a short. But that was it for jigs. Buddy brought minnows but they were mostly dead as bubbler didn't work right overnight but didn't matter as his bobber started dancing and he was fishing 3 feet down in 15 FOW. they wanted meat today at our usual spot. He caught one after another, not huge as he was keeping 8.5 to 9.5 mostly tossing quite a few.
Ended up cutting few we had left in half but still ketchn

Meanwhile I was casting to no success and then put bobber on but nada. So i took jig off and put dead minnows on and KABOOM happened. We filled live well and I even caught big kitty on my medium pole which I had put heavier line on was fun.

Finally things slowed so we moved down lake to corner where we have had big success before. Nothing for a while while I was casting w jig all around then KABOOM Again ketchn one after another with much better size. Didn't last long but was fun.

Had to head back home for church dinner so took a few pics for report and let buddy have them as he too has lots of folk who love fish but can't get out and he loves to distribute them.Name: 20230920_110705.jpg

Thanks! Not too bad for a couple of old farts with no electronics or functioning front TM with an old narrow boat with stick drive and rear TM using bunch of dead minnows. Still had KABOOM happen by dropping an anchor and getting after it.
