actually I prefer to use the dead ones when I do a jig and pig type presentation. uses those up and leaves the live ones for the guys who are just using a minnow rig.

actually since we are fishing open water at this place with very little structure going to go to a jig on bottom with a minnow on hook up a foot or so next time just to see how it goes.
