Default Dropped pontoon off then went fishing

My mercury 60hp won't go into reverse so after my son looked inside motor and didn't see anything obvious dropped it off at repair place. Then went fishing of course. Hadn't been on lil lake in a while and wanted too see if I could find them.

Took a while and moved to several places but finally caught a few green carp and then a couple of crappie. Typical for this lake we're blacks and around 9 inches. Had to move more and picked up 2 more. That's enough for dinner for my wife and I so headed home.

Hopefully I'll hear up to my cabin for a night to paint a room we mudded couple years ago but it's our guest room and last major project just never got around to finishing. Plus I might wet a line or two. Biggrin!Name: 20230515_153220.jpg

All you needed was enough for a meal and you did that. Success is what it's all about.

got great deal when I bought the pontoon 5 years ago and it has run very well always starting easily no matter how long since ran it. BUT was concerned about lower unit even tho it ran great forward. Sure enough place called and said I needed replace it. Ouch but oh well, my buddy bought a used toon that ran and looked great and 6 months in had to replace whole motor. so whatugonnado?

At least they found a used unit that they could put on and it was less painful than it could have been. but still OUCH!
