    Question Condo docks post spawn

Moved away from the lake after 20+ years recently. Will not have a boat, but will be staying in a condo about mid lake. Can anyone give me some advice on how to fish for crappie condo docks. I believe the docks are close to the Margaritaville area. Do not know if there is any brush under the dock, but it is in deep 30' plus water.
    Thanks!

Some lights at night to attract bait could certainly be the ticket there

Key is moving around and feeling for the brush. use heavier jig head to get down in that deep of water but always hunt up the brush and their will be some you just have to find it. My thing is look for folks fishing and go over and talk to them. folks will share information if you just ask. Or if they are grumpy gus's simply note where they are fishing and if they have been fishing there for some time can really save you time. IF your not the real social type you can also sit back from the docks and observe what's going on.

BTW after you find it go to smaller jigs and float it above the brush or around it. they could also be simply hanging under docks and boats and fish all around everything till you find a concentration.

On loz there does not need to be brush they will school up under the docks to get away from the sun and boat traffic. As already mentioned watch what's going on and look for sign. They will always be in the shade and usually suspended in th 10-15 ft. zone. One item that really comes in handy is the hand held portable camera. They are not that expensive and will show fish. Loz is usually clear enough for them. Good luck and let us know how it goes. Remember we like pics.

Aqau-vu makes the one I viewed with. Little bigger than a phone and has a cable with a camera that you lower into the water. They make several.

have always thought about getting one just for the fun of seeing what is down there. I do have a portable FFer that I bought years ago and have never used as I am usually moving around too much but should get it out and give it a go as well.
