bugeyes are what we on LSL call the many, many, many lil crappie we ketch on LSL. This time of year you can literally ketch one after another after another in shallow water. Buddy of mine, noted camera phobe so no pics, I've told him this for years but didn't believe me. Was with me month ago when had a neighbor come over and we filled cooler up with about 40 decent size crappie to transplant in his lake. Now we were there ketchn for his lake in jefferson county.

Soon as he got there we started ketchn him, myself and my condo buddy. Moved a couple of places but had his cooler filled with 90 fish in no time. He was shocked and very pleased at the constant action and was laughing delightedly with every quick hit.

He had a oxygen bubbler put in his cooler and then we had a 5 gallon bucket with bunch in there as well. He made it to his lake which is a haul with only losing a couple.

BTW anyone around stl with a place and want some crappie let me know. few take any out of lake and it is overrun with the lil bugeyes so take some. Wish I had this resource a few years back when my wife had an incredible 17 acre lake with ton of stucture and minnow population that would have been ideal for crappie yet we couldn't find any over in IL.

My buddy did say he wishes we had something like this when we were kids. Now my grandkids and friends grandkids get to come out and have a absolute ball. Love to share the laughter and fun with them.
