Default Tried crappie couple of ways

Had incredible spring and spawn ketchn crappie but then hit a lull. Haven't been up to my cabin or fished at LSL even after getting toon in water. But did do couple of recipes with said crappie that came out awesome.

First my son made a crab and crappie gumbo that was spectacular with leftovers of crab shrimp build he did for me fathers day.

Then my wife has had little appetite for anything so I sautéed crappie, mushrooms and chalets in olive oil with my good vinegar Cole slaw and she ate a bunch which was a blessing.

Now need to get back out dipping docks for big crappie!Name: 20220628_182220.jpg

A simple crappie recipe is to sauté them in butter and sprinkle with Old Bay seasoning.

That's basically how I did it but added the olive oil and then the mushrooms chalets to the pan.
