Congratulations
I did it. I braved the wind and worked on boat control. Frozen and not even a nibble I headed back to the ramp. Decided to try a little cove just near the bridge at Windsor crossing. Bam! 13.5” and 4 more in the box in about 10 minutes(suddenly I wasn’t cold anymore). Worked hard for 2 more. Left with 7.
Anchor lock and jog feature is sure helpful. Too windy to just slow troll and drag the bank, but I was able to beat up the bank and move on on relatively easily. I’ve got all the tools but the most important ones; knowledge and skill.
Oh and Jeff will love this. Only lost 1 jig apparently from knot failure.
Didn’t think to take a picture until it was too gory for a family site.
Congratulations

Those new trolling motors surely help keeping a boat under control
The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along
Glad to hear you took a brake from the homestead and went and found a few.
