    I reel ya!!

    Autocorrect, amiright?!

I figured you had to have some weight on there to get back down in 'em.

Also...I tend to lose contact with my jig when I get that deep. Especially if it's a super small 16th or 32nd jig I typically use only in cold water months.

So...did the 1/4oz jig get bit that much then? Or at all?

good questions JD, only time I fished that deep was down on KY lake when I caught my PB, only one, way back in the day and thought I was snagged. Hard to feel that deep.

    great job richard

Congrats Richard. I am sure that their eyes are bugged out coming from that deep.

Well hello catman long time hope you are well. Joedog that 5lb braided line with a floro leader really lets you feel a bite when that deep. And yes 1/2 of the fish probably came off the bigger jig. That lightweight braided line is on my walleye rod and for jig fishing casting or vertical it is the ticket to lite bites. And LSL your right a few of the short fish and one little bitty walleye floated for some time till they recovered. Probably why the eagles were sitting in the tree line watching.
