I carry an old screwdriver with electrical tape wrapped on the shank to pull braid loose from a snag. I use 6# power pro and love it. Now if I could only catch a 6# crappie to test it. I have used the lighter lines but just can't see it to tie.

Ain`t that the truth trying to get limp braid thru the hook eye even cheaters don`t help a lot then see it to tie it. Another reason I like colored braid or mono.

Someone was talking about using a needle threader to get the line thru the eye of the jig. I have get to get one but I thought that was a slick idea.

For years I have used home made threaders. I use it even for my slip floats, works like a dream.Name: threader.jpg

Size: 13.0 KB I keep it in a slip float until my next tie. The wire is .027 dia. s.s. wire. Cut to your lenght of choice, fold and mash flat with a pair of pliers. Waalaa. ready to go.
