    Default Osage Bluff September 8&9

Was up to the lake this week trying out the Ultrex and the Livescope. Both have a learning curve to conquer. Caught a five pound drum on the first drop of the week on a hardwood in 14 fow. Using jigs with minnows. Seems that was my luck this week, a few more drum. Crappie seemed to run away when I dropped to them. Did have a twenty degree drop in temp between the two mornings. Should have went to fall pattern, instead stayed on what I'd been doing the last few weeks. I'll go back up next week a nd try something more in a different pattern, going a little shallower.

Going back up tomorrow for a few days. Got an assortment of jigs from a buddy that's been making them for 50 years. I'm ready for fall.

The pelicans are all over at Fairfield. Too bad the Crappie aren't! Never got bit even with minnows. Watched the fish spook away when I dropped down to them.Name: 25029.jpg
