    Default Went old school Thursday

No Livescope, graph for depth only. Went with my old Perch Jerker buddy using slip bobbers and minnows. Targeting pole timber and cedars. Seems the cedars produced a little better than the pole timber. Caught a bunch of shorts and had one limit of keepers between us. Made me miss the Livescope not knowing if we were fishing trees without any fish. Still fun catching some the old ways. The shad are still thick on the upper part of Truman.

Always fun watching that bobber go under, or go sideways.

I had to leave my boat outside one night so I took my electronics off for safe keeping. Got to the lake about 45 minutes from the house and realized all that was still at home. Old school that day for sure. Amazing how spoiled we get by the modernization's of life. I did catch fish but had to think a little bit about where that ole brush pile was. LOL

Just remembering the old Richline boat with the 18 horse motor, rear Silvertrol trolling motor and no electronics. I believe we caught more fish and was more selective of our fishing spots.

Grandpa didn't fish, but Dad rowed us around in a wooden Jon boat. Not sure if it was, but was always called an Arkansas Traveller. To me and my memories, that was so much more fun than these new boats with tons of electronics.

Yep, 90% of my fishing was with my dad rowing in a 12 foot extra narrow and extra shallow jon boat and dad always wanted to watch sunrise on the water. Woo boy that was early to me as a young boy. Prolly caught more fish out of it than any of my bass boats.
