Put in at 6:30, pulled out at 6:30. Hit all the main channel flats from Bucksaw to Prettybob 11-20fow. Tossed minnows, pulled minnows, floated minnows. Jigs seemed totally ineffective. Dipping trees did nothing. Managed to snag some babies and a few keepers. Most keepers were good sized. They were scattered with no discernible pattern. Water temp rose from 74 to 84 pretty quickly.
Finally threw in the towel and ran down to the cut to try for whites. Trolled 3” white grub with giant white jig head. And some kind of rainbow trout with a spinner. Those caught only 1 or two white but put sever hogs in the boat. Sexy shad and spoon did nothing.
Landed a 24” blue on 6.10.6.15.6lb test with the white grub. Dang cat rolled through all the lines and tied himself up before we even saw it.
The real takeaway today is that the crappie want it faster. Can’t wait to refi my house so I can get a set of bandits
I was up the Grand yesterday morning too, it was rough. I took home eight nice ones and caught them in the hedge trees.

Awesome post. I think I'll wait on a trip to Truman until the end of the month after reading this.
