    Default Smithville Sat evening

Went for a few hours and fished one cove (in my small boat). The water was 71-73 degrees, level was high of course but not too muddy in the cove. One guy at the ramp said he only caught one. Another guy who was in a kayak caught 2 off the banks. I was fishing for crappie and caught 3 (2 dinks) plus 2 bass, a channel, a drum and a half dozen gills. Didn't do that well but the weather was nice and it was great to be back on the water.

You got out and had a fun evening that counts in my book.
May all your live wells be full.

Same luck for me Sat. morning, went up river water was very muddy didn't do any good, went back to main lake no skunk but no good. My best catch of the weekend was the mouse in my boat, opened the compartment to grab my rope while I was approaching the ramp and it ran up my arm jumped around, almost caught it but it ran down into the boat. Got home set up traps, he gone.
