    Default Smithville - ?

2nd time on Smithville this year yesterday late afternnon with Joedog and nothing exciting. Thought it would be a banner day and beat the next 5 day rain pattern but nope not great. Fished from the river north of the powerlines to main lake caught a few and only one per spot, some none. Beat the banks an fished out deeper but nope not much luck. Everyone at the ramp same repot and said the killed them yesterday. Surface temps from 68 main lake to 71 North. Not sure what they are doing?

Mixed bag for me Crappie, Bass, Bluegill and a White Bass.......... all but the LM Bass would have fit in a sandwich bag!

I was thinking the same as you guys. I headed out to LOZ and the bite was SLOOOOW. Keepers were minimum, but the GAR were on fire!

What you mean?! Every minute of every day with me is exciting!!

When I was asked how we did, I just telling people, "We each caught 1".

What I wasn't saying was that I caught 1 crappie, and you caught 1 crappie. and 1 bluegill. And 1 white bass. And 1 largemouth.

Time to break out the raingear! Or wait for a post spawn pattern?!!

When asked, I say "It wasn't a bad day, but I wasn't catching my target fish." Yesterday I put 6 dinks, 1 keeper, 4 Gar and 3 white bass. Not a bad day, but not what I was after. After all, I was on the water and not at work! LoL

Wow Bill I thought we were having a slow day . I was sitting here yesterday thinking it would be a good time to hit the lake . Maybe the main lake would be better , seems like they spawn a little later there.
May all your live wells be full.

We tried a little bit on the main lake. No dice there, either.
