First time fishing the Niangua arm. Launched out of Larry Gale and caught a limit on Monday afternoon but took awhile. Then decided to try my hand at snagging and landed 3 sub-legal spoonbills. Tuesday morning offered up a seat to a fellow Vet and we managed a few more keepers but mostly shorts. Finding fish wasn’t difficult but only able to catch a couple at each spot. Water temp was 58-60 degrees and fish came everywhere from 2 ft off the bank, under docks and in open water back in coves. Blue ice and pink/chart seemed to work better.
