    Default Pushing straight jigs?

I've spider rigged with minnows and jigs tipped with minnows, but never just jigs alone.. Anyone have much luck pushing jigs before?

Jigs for me, That's all I use, I catch plenty. I do add scent. Nibbles or Slab sauce.

We catch more pushing straight jigs than anything else on Wapp.

Once the water gets above 50 in the spring, we use jigs only slow trolling. It doesn't work for me in the fall. It is so much easy'er to keep poles in the water
when you don't have to fool with minnows. Wife and I fished a day in low 40s with 8 poles. She used jigs tipped with minnows and I used straight jigs. She
caught 15, I caught 1 but I caught it off of her poles while she went to the back of the boat. On a slow or soft bite, where there little to no aggression, I still
tip with minnows. I can catch fish with straight jigs year round but I can catch more tipping with minnows. Would love to not use them. Stay tuned for the
guys who haven't used a minnow for 40 years and catches more than anyone else on the lake.
    Tell'em I'll be there.

I'm fishing a tournament this weekend that does not allow live bait. I'm more comfortable spider rigging so I'm going to stick with that. I think that I'll use nibbles or something like that to tip for attraction.

I hope you beat the socks off of them but after the tournament, as you drive home, you are going to be saying to yourself if I am going to continue doing this
I am going to have to have advanced electronics to be successful.

I'm already having that conversation with myself... I'm sure here before too long I'll save up enough to get a live scope or wait for mega live. But for this weekend, I think everyone will struggle with the weather and can give anyone a decent lucky chance. I do have mega si which is a good tool so I will use that as much as possible this weekend. Even if I do get some type of live imaging I still think I will spider rig as much as possible.
