Good job on the limit!
1/4 inch of ice on the way out but was a really good bite today. Lots
of fish were hungry which allowed me to really experiment with colors and presentation. We were out of crappie so I kept my limit - all between 10.5 and 11.5. Fish were suspended 8-20 ft deep out in the middle of coves and wanted a slow presentation.
I recently purchased some hair/flashing tied jigs but am having trouble getting the crappie to bite them even though they are similar in color to plastics. Rate of fall is similar but couldn’t figure it out. Anyone else have a similar experience? I was hoping to use them more thinking they would be a little more durable.

I have no idea why, but sometimes they want plastic; sometimes they want hand ties. I wish I could figure out why as well
Been tying 30+ years, some days I get all gitty cause my jigs work well, BUT I never leave home without my plastics box cause it is the only show in town that day. Just let the fish tell you and don't give up on your hand ties.

Looks like a Good day!
Looks like a very productive outing, nice job!
If we did what was most important in life there
would be a shortage of Bibles.................and fishing poles
Sounds like a good day when you get to experiment with colors. Thanks for the report and pictures.

some days it's plastics then it's hair and others minnows are the ticket. key is have all three and let them tell you what they want that day. Your question is the same as trying to figure out women. It's the path to madness! LOL
