I'm actually going to try and make a mold this weekend while down at the farm and have access to my industrial drill press. Saw a couple god you tube video's of how to make these aluminum molds so thought I'd give it a try. We'll see how it works. I'll take some pics of it when done as well as what the weight turns out looking like. Here's what I'm starting with.

You can buy a commercially made mold from do-it for about 30 bucks. Make them either with straight brass eyes or brass eyes with swivels.

OK, finally got my mold finished. Well almost, still need to add the snap swivel holes to the mold but didn't know what size I needed to use. Got that figured out now but here's some pics of what it looks like and the finished product. Guessing it should sink!
