    Default Neosho Joplin area

It looks as if I may be moving to the Neosho- Joplin area for work. Coming from the Lake Fork area, there are crappie within 10 miles from my house. Looking at maps it looks like the closest water to the area is the Neosho river in Oklahoma. Can someone please chime in. If you lived in this area (50 mile radius from Neosho) where would you fish?
    Thanks
FWIW, my father lives in Lebanon and fishies Lake OZ and Stockton

Of course lots of water on Grand Lake (the Neosho as you mentioned) Upper Table Rock, Eagle Rock just at 50 miles, Shell Knob a bit over, Beaver Lake about there along with the South end of Stockton. Tight lines

    Cool

You're in a good spot. Grand is great, they will start snagging spoonbill soon look into this. Cass County trout park need to find. AND my favorite with a small boat Thousands of strip pits everywhere...search mined lands. An oasis of fishing surrounds you. The Neosho River also has huge stripper action great crappie fishing. i would not be too disappointed. also the Spring river is full of white bass.... Fork is a memory, soon to be forgotten.

I was in a bar in Wisconsin one time that had huge stripper action. Not something I would recommend.

I live just north of Seneca, Mo. which is west of Neosho. I fish Spring River and Neosho River almost exclusively or I head a bit south and hit Grand. Good fishing in both rivers depending on location and time of year.

Hit me up sometime and I can show you around, not much around here that I havent fished.
