Well I never got up to the landing. It rained most of the day Friday then the snow hit Saturday. I’m pretty hardcore but couldn’t make myself go with the temp 32 Saturday. I appreciate everyone’s help if you ever come to central/south Arkansas give me a shout and I’ll help anyway I can.

I'm heading down to Taneycomo next Thursday to fish a trout tournament on Saturday. We'll do some exploring around the Landing in search of trout, but if we stumble across any crappie then I will report back on this thread. The guys I've spoke to recently haven't been able to find the crappie, but they have caught some nice trout on minnows down in that area while crappie fishing.

Heard of one 13" crappie being caught down by the landing this past weekend by a trout fisherman so they must not be very thick down there right now. Trout fishing was decent though. We fished the Masters tournament put on by Lilleys Landing and took 1st place. Our group caught several nice fish between Thursday and Saturday and we were fortunate to find a few on Saturday when it counted the most.

Winter time and flood gates usually means shad are pouring in to Taneycomo and those big fish go bonkers. We hit it like that in late Jan 2016 and it was one of the craziest days of fishing we've ever had down there.
