I have fished Taneycomo for years and have never caught a crappie. We plan to go back again in April or May. I too would like info on crappie fishing there. When you say go near the damn, do you mean close to Lilly's Landing? We have always stayed at Blue Haven as its away from the crowds and touristy stuff. These were caught last October

Go down to the landing at the fountains there is a ton of brush and lots of crappies and trout. Local fish a lot there even Phil Lilley...good luck.

The Landing area will hold them at times, but it seems to be very hit or miss. Some winters are great and some are dead. I think Lilley has caught a few this winter, but not many.
