    Default New Territory

Launched at Pikes Camp/Osage River for the first time...only 10 minutes from my house. Idk how many small spotted bass I caught and a gar snapped off one of my favorite lures. I probably had that spittin image for 20 years. The real fun was three big drum that I was praying were bass when I hooked them. Biggest went 9 pounds. Best lures were a ned rig, BPS the egg, 3/4 oz football jig, and a Rapala DT 10. While going down stream the water got super skinny and swift. I barely got back on the right side of the current or else I may have been stranded. New adventures can be interesting.....Name: 20200918_113843.jpg

State record for drum is 40 lbs 8 oz but that's the biggest I've got. I'm use to the little ones that steal my minnows

That is 1 of our favorite places to fish. Either that or St. Thomas. When the water is skinny you need a jet. Those drum can be a blast. Unfortunately it is a 1 1/2 hr drive for us.
