    Default Night time Crappie fishing

Greetings! I'm fairly new to the site. I've learned a lot from here so far.

I'm thinking about trying some evening time crappie fishing. Can crappie be caught at night without using an underwater light? I don't have one and won't buy one if I can get by without it. I appreciate any help you all can give.

Does anyone know if you can use a light underwater now in MO or does it still have to float?

I never knew of a time that you *couldn't* use an underwater light. I've been [occasionally] doing it for years. Found out about it on this site, so...pro'ly 10 years or so since I got my first submersible?
