I've been considering one for awhile. I'll buy one by spring, keeping an eye out for a used one or a good rebate. I realize they're expensive but so is going to the lake. If it can make my days more productive (enjoyable) then it will pay for itself.

I just got one. (Saved up for awhile and used a bunch of BPS gift cards). I already had the 73 echo map plus. I hear ya on it keeping you busy! I have mine mounted on a pole. I usually use the remote on the terrova I don't have a free hand now. One hand in the LS pole one on a fishing pole one foot on the terrova. It's frustrating seeing fish and not being able to get them to bite. Plus it seems like I have to adjust it at every new spot I try. I've only had it out 5 times.

I have caught a few fish in places that I wouldn't have fished if I hadn't seen them on the scope though. That's pretty cool.

On another note I only seem to be able to see clearly out to about 30'-40' it seems like it's not picking up much beyond that. Is that normal?
