Default Silly Question About Truman Dam

OK, I saw this morning that Truman Dam is putting out 29,600 cfs or there abouts. I drove down to look, and it looks just like when they say 20,000 cfs. So be it either way. But it seems odd to me that the output looks the same.

I've been fishing in the dead side lately, and trolling the river on the side with current. Cats and Whites mainly, with the occasional Crappie. Is there any decent spot up that way? I suspect that fishing at 20 ft, in 25-30 FOW would do it in such an area, but I have yet to find much consistency.

    Thanks everyone.

I fished the dead water last Friday evening (6/12) and they were running 30,000 cfs. I spider rigged with very few bites. The bites I did have were 7-8" fish. I did run down the channel and checked a couple of other spots where the water swirls with current and fish sometimes stack, but I didn't see much going on with my electronics. I usually do pretty good when they run 30,000 cfs or more, but I was a little disappointed. On another note, I fished Truman earlier than morning and Sunday morning as well with very little success. I think the fishing overall was pretty slow everywhere.
