Default Stockton 2/3 now with 100% more livescope

Fishin buddy bought a livescope, so we braved the wind today and caught a couple. Fish were on brush piles in 20-25ft of water. Pretty neat watching them come up out of the brush piles and hammer a jig. Name: IMG_8386.jpg

    Pretty neat scanner there!
If we did what was most important in life there

It’s also worth noting that we were fishing real low/small brush piles that didn’t really even show up on side scan. Without looking at them on livescope we would’ve most likely not even fished them, or at a minimum not been successful fishing them because they were so small. Another cool thing was finding a pile and not really knowing if it had fish on it that were active. Dip a jig down in it and pull it back up, if nothing moved around in the pile after 5-10mins we moved on. I can’t tell you got many times before that we would set up on a pile and fish it for probably an hour with no luck, at least with this you know if the fish are 1) there and 2) remotely interested. Still figuring it out, but a damn handy tool. I’ve got one for my boat sitting in the garage, just gotta find time to put it on.

You catch enough fish without it.

Nice toy. $1500, but they have a $200 rebate right now. Course you need a Garmin 93SV or so to use it. Another $1100.
    Still.................
I'll smoke just about anything (in my smoker)
The fishing is always great. The catching varies.
