thanks, just wanted to know stuff like is it a windy lake ,how is the best way to fish this lake, ect.
I haven’t been down there since spring. So no current info.
WSD is a good contact.
If the wind is out of the East or west, you will have to be up a creek.

Wister is my 2nd favorite lake.
Depending on lake level, there are stumps and trees that can ruin your day.
Be cautious until you have a handle on it.
There are ramps up the creeks, if that’s where you want to fish.

It is not a big lake and pretty shallow over all outside the river channel. It is full of submerged stumps and trees. There are two river arms, and the main lake. If you go and have a good maping system, stay in the channel, DO NOT run outside of it no matter how add the turns and bends are. Right now last I checked it was about 10 foot higher than normal. Contact Robert Robertson on facebook and he could give you more info. He is a great guy and very knowledgeable about Wister Lake. I have fished the lake and I have fished with Robert as well as some of the other guys that fish it a lot.
