Went to court today on the boat motor. Turned out to be just a formality. Judge Harmon presided. Asked if I had a letter that needed signing, and When I said no I didn't have no such letter, just a bill of sale and the papers of the petition, he had his secretary print a couple copies and signed them right there giving me ownership of the motor. Now to get the title on Friday from the registers office...WOOHOO!!!!

The other angle is getting it registered to you for tax purposes.

Checked on that last week as to whether I needed to add it to the list of taxable items. Greene county tax office informed me that NO it's not taxable as they include it's taxes in the tax of the boat...good news there. Tax on Trailer and boat is a whopping $9.56.
